>>112507160>Wreck-It Ralph did this and I hate itSomeone actually pointed out it contextually makes sense, that moody asshole was the character Ralph tosses from his apartment every time the game is run, so while Ralph is forced to be the villain each game, he's forced to be the buttmonkey to make out his villainy.
He's likely as discontent as Ralph with his role, but he doesn't get a movie to express and alleviate him of it. Also on the topic of elaboration, we the viewer know how Ralph really thinks, feels and acts but the other characters have no such context. Felix is shown to be one of the most sensitive and considerate characters to a comical degree, and even he looks puzzled when Ralph tries to explain his intentions and actions. To guys like Felix in the know, it's just a job, so it sounds like Ralph's just losing it, to the others it's a life and it sounds like Ralph wants to terrorize them but also get treated nicely for it.
Again, WE know Ralph chafes against the programming dictating his behavior and just wants a small, real place of his own, some respect and a little decency, but that's because we have the luxury of god's eye.
