Then he kills his sister, and goes to a mental hospital. That crap of him Dr.Loomis talks about with him looking at the wall? He was actually watching a film reel of all the prior bearers of the mark in action, and when that wasn't happening, the members of the cult were training him in other means, such as teaching him to drive.
So this poor fucking kid, is now this cult's bitch, forced to kill, be good at it, and survive on fucking raw meat. Kid, naturally goes crazy, and if it's more worse- he does show lapses of control, such as when the mask comes off, and his attachment to his family- which is part of the ritual, yes, but not 100% concrete.
So we skip past all of the movies and the head of the cult tries to move the mark to a new host, fucks it up, and shoves it on Loomis, who is a useless cripple and won't get much done, meanwhile, Micheal is free, and presumably goes out to live out the rest of his days in fucking misery with the skills of a literal western assassian version of the big dipper cult from fist of the north star, without the immortality from the ongoing ritual

The only way this will ever get fixed is if they make a Netflix original series about Myers trying to make it for himself, visiting a shrink and trying to get therapy by proxy, only for Loomis, who is now a batshit murder alienist to arrive in his new town, and Micheal is all sexy and moody and shit that makes women like him, and they may or may not make that fucked up incest shit with the thorn vessel canon for more views.
