It sounds alright, but I don’t know what else they’re planning to do with it. Episode lengths? Shorts? 30 minutes? Tom and Jerry Length? we don’t exactly know much of the theming either. Is it mostly just gonna be all-around for everyone to watch, or is there gonna be some thematic/drama elements to it with an overarching plot? 2nd one sounds improbable, but actually sounds pretty good.

They only confirmed this like two months ago and I imagine that they'd want to keep this inline with theatrical shorts from the 1930s like the games did. It's probably going to take them a year at the absolute least to get something out, more likely much longer.

The whole appeal of Cuphead was that it was a video game based on a style used in cartoons.
An actual Cuphead cartoon would be at worst, a bunch of cliches played straight, and at best, something new that isn't specific to Cuphead and could be done by any other cartoon.

My best guess is that the show will be like those 'A Mickey Mouse Cartoon' shorts. I doubt they have enough money or time to properly emulate 30's cartoons 1 to 1 for more than one episode.
