It'd be like if someone showed you a .gif of that scene in The Fly where Goldblum snaps the guy's arm in half, and when you asked what movie it was from, someone links you to the 1958 film.
Yeah, they're both called The Fly, yeah, they have essentially the same plot, yeah, they're both based on the short story of the same name, but clearly, we're talking about the 1986 film because of the .gif. Don't get it twisted.

It sounds like the author of the first comic decided to change the story halfway through. SwainArt is a different author/artist.
