I posted this this in the last thread but I'll post it again since it was done late into that thread's lifespan.
I know we talked about this but I think I gathered a insight on how the kids get their powers. As far as we know, there are five kids who been to Endless: Regina, Todd, Ester, Elmer and Ogden. Of the five, we observed three gain their powers. In these three instances, they all the power in response to the current scenario at hand and to hefty amounts of stress.
>Reggie: Gets super strength to stop a high-velocity ball and was clearly stressed about it.
>Ester: Developed flight and magical rope to defeat a flying Butt Witch and save Todd and Reggie from the green quicksand. She was panicking and seemingly had her "flight-or-fight" instincts short-circuiting.
>Ogden: Developed invisibility to hide from Reggie and the islanders. Was overwhelmed from all the attention and stimulation.
Another anon replied, saying it could just be based off how they handle high stress scenarios in general, further saying
>Todd's is easy enough to guess. He reacts to stressful challenge by wearing different hats, just like he does in real life. Reggie powers through real life high stress, and Esther dances around the problem to give herself time to think up a strategy.
