Why people treat Batman as some sort of unique and special case when it comes to comic book troupes? I see this done by both fans and professional writers.
You've probably seen such cases, like the infamous "Why Batman doesn't kill the Joker?", as if the Joker was the only comic book villain to constantly escape jail and cause havoc, and Batman was the only hero with a no kill rule.
Or "Batman is actually crazy for putting on a costume and fighting crime", as if Green Arrow and other characters didn't exist or something.
