>>112377854The first season was just boring. It seemed like the show didn't seem to know whether it wanted to aim for drama or comedy, and it ended up failing at both. It felt like every episode dragged on way too long, and I just wanted them to end.
All the characters were assholes to the extent that I had trouble caring about them. I need at least one decent character to root for so that I can actually feel emotionally invested enough to care about what happens and continue watching.
Also, there were times when it felt like the characterization was all over the place. Elfo was introduced as a cynic who disliked this overly cute and happy elf community, but later he turned out to be just a cheerful and naive guy after all. The tiny pitch-black thing seemed to be an evil demon who doesn't give a shit about people, but for some reason he got upset about Elfo's death.
I didn't bother to watch the second season, so can't comment on it.
