>>112379390Yep, it was a very appealing "program", and most people who were around when it was a thing still remember a lot of the catchy tunes and fun little gags. My mother always tells me how when she was a young kid she couldn't wait for Carosello to start, sitting around with all her sisters and watching it is in fact one of her earliest memories
>>112380692Heavens no, it stopped airing in the late 70s. The program was owned by RAI, but every sketch and animation had to be done by the various companies who wanted to advertise their products themselves, which meant that a lot of them couldn't even afford it, moreover the idea of tv advertisements here in Italy shifted from being a very small part of italian television (only airing as its own show) to becoming what is now the standard of fast, easy to understand commercials that run during breaks, so there wasn't really a need for it anymore. But yes, I'm very proud of it and what it meant for a lot of producers (fucking Fellini himself worked on many of the sketches) and with its 7.000+ episodes, it still stays as one of the longest and most fondly remembered shows from television in my country. Excuse me for the wall of text
