in a marxist sense he may not be bourgeoisie but most people aren't marxists. they dislike people based on normal status concerns.
if anything bezos is a status most people can't aspire to while pdp is considered to still be a semi-normal, relatable guy. it's like hating your neighbor (because people compare you to him and find you wanting) rather than the president.
the internet exposing most people to the lifestyles of the upper-ish social class of their own countries was a mistake. everyone now compares themselves to people with significantly more disposable income than normal (but who don't own factories or businesses) and finds themselves coming up short, not because they're deficient but simply because they're normal. without any malice, rich people wind up humiliating the rest of us with their conspicuous consumption.
it's made worse by the way our current social norms scorn 'elitism', so rich people feel obligated to pretend they're 'still a regular guy' rather than being able to compete against each other as a distinct social group and leave the rest of us to compete within our own groups.
