Eh Earth 23 Superman doesn't really grab me. He was mostly just created to insert former president Obama into canon. Personally I think John Irons is a stronger character by far, but unfortunately WB has been terrified to push him ever since Shaq's Steel movie back in the 90s. What makes Steel great is the idea of a mortal man trying to fill the big shoes Superman left behind when he "died", relying on his inventions and mind. Plus Iron Man shit is popular with the general audience these days, so it seems like a better investment.

Just do the more recent Earth-2 stuff. Actually, just make the Snyder-verse Earth-2. Bring back Henry, Ben, Gal, have them get corrupted/killed by Darkseid, introduce Val-Zod, Alan Scott, Jay, etc.

I've been hoping for a thread like this to ask a question. In Multiversity Calvin Ellis' identity as Superman was a secret, but in Flash Forward he's calling himself President Superman, has an Oval Office of Solitude, and doesn't seem to have any separation between his identities. Was there something that happened in between the two appearances, or was it just Lobdell misrepresenting the character?

Yes; maybe he died on Krypton. Maybe his shuttle did launch, but went to a different solar system. Maybe he's not a pacifist, and more like Zod. When dealing with a multiverse, you have an infinite numbers possibilities.

The Multiverse excuse only goes so far. If it establishes that yes it is an elseworlds, its a non issue. However if its such a minor change, its kind of a boring elseworlds. Furthermore, if you look at stuff like BoP's Cassandra Cain, it just amounts to a shitty adaptation. Plus you could have added a role for a black actress with his niece and created a black Supergirl to fight alongside Kara.
