>>111998321There's this level of enjoyment with it because it's like...if your average /co/merade made a show. It's full to the brim with in-jokes and references and is unapologetically a love letter to cheezy 80s/90s anime and the early video games. However it's animation quality fluctuates from "pretty good" to godawful and it's got this almost obsessive desire to be "for kids". At times it can almost feel a bit infantile with the way it's written but it's so sincere that even its cheesiest aspects are enjoyable.
It's a solid 7/10. It's definitely not gonna break any records and it may even be forgotten by the masses in a year, but it's a solid story and a fun ride.
