It was honestly kinda cute. I think that fight with Steven is the first time in the entire series that you could ever say Jasper was happy: there was nothing serious on the line in that fight, so it was just a good old sparring session where it didn't matter if she got her ass beat or not, so she could just have fun.

Jasper can be super cute when the script calls for it. Redemption was always in the cards for her, and of course it's in the most anime way possible.
