>>111967210>if you actually loved Star and Marco's relationshipWhat relationship?
I mean, other than being friends who turned into best friends. They didn't have anything between them.
If you wanna go deep on the subject, the only one who had anything between the two was Star, but it didn't started at least until Bloodmoon ball.
There is when we can asume Star had her "first crush" on the boy that was wearing a Mask, she didn't know it was his bestie and clearly was shocked when she saw it was him.
After that, unfortunately for Starcos, we can't have a clear position about Marco liking her at all, ever, because he didn't even acknowledge her as a girl.
Tom admitted he looked for a curse and put Marco under it after Bloodmoon Ball, Naysaya would reveal itself when the afflicted one tried to talk with his "True Love" a pretty specific thing if you ask me. It never revealed until Marco was trying to talk with Jackie. So from S1 to S2 he felt NOTHING for Star other than a good friendship.
On the other hand, anything that happened between the two was purely the curse, Interrupting Marco's first kiss with Jackie, forcing Marco to accept returning even though he had already made up his mind and wanted to stay in Hekapoo's dimension (did someone else felt it was odd Star didn't mention Jackie?), feeling he had to be there for Star, leaving his life and obesessing over Mewni even though he didn't obsessed with Neverzone, acting like a douche to his family, friends, girlfriend just because he had a giant napkin.
I don't hate to say it, Starco was the one notorious stone that broke the entire show, anything good that could happen was forced to either balance it towards Starco and benefit it, or be destroyed/forgotten.
Marco was just the victim of Deus ex Machina benefitting Star.
