I paid nothing and got it done without an appointment. So fast. So easy.
And our medications aren't MASSIVELY overpriced. Since the government is paying from the tax pool, they have an interest in not paying whatever-the-fuck price the pharmaceutical companies dictate.
Sure there is room for improvement, but I would specifically never move to the States because a single accident or illness can suffocate you in debt for life.
So if you really want to keep "good" immigrants out, keep on being a second world country in healthcare.
