It occurs to me that a common double standard across various media forms is an unwillingness to subject female characters to physical violence out of a presupposition that women are somehow more vulnerable or physically competent than men.

Personally, I feel that women are equally as capable of men both intellectually and physically and I'd like to see more of that being shown in comics and cartoons.

In that spirit, please post examples of women being on the receiving end of physical violence. I say it's time we did away with the taboo.
