My favorite arc, though, was John. He changed a lot in the three years of the comic's timeline, and really grew into a sincere and reliable guy from his start as a goobery kid. He finally learned how to stop hating himself, he found a lot of sympathy with all the kids and trolls, and ended it with a bang when he achieved narrative rewriting power to end all doomed timelines and the rule of the Alpha, and defeat Lord English... or at least set him up for Jack's final stab.
Speaking of, that worked because of how well it was sold. Jack's last stab being a callback to Paula's prayer, fueled by the number of readers submitting their murder-encouragement to Jack, until the number was so huge it broke Sburb's code and ultramurdered English, was way too fun. A proper successor to the Problem Sleuth finale.
