Who do you think missed the point? It was a desperate cry for help presented as a humorously exaggerated but scathingly accurate assessment of the American blacks
McGruder, like Hughie, loves his people and believes they are and can be more but also has the sense to see that the road to salvation is long and treacherous and as things are now likely impassible in practice. All this leaving him bitter, but no less invested in supporting the cause despite knowing it won't bear fruit.

The entire ethos of the show can be summed up with one parody scene from The Most Offensive Charlie Brown - "we ain't ever gonna make it"

It's a relatable notion, beyond the specific national/ethnic contexts. It's the doubt in the heart of any righteous man. Also - it's funny to laugh at black culture.

They totally ignore the commentary on how Dr. King would be hated and slandered if he was still alive today, shown in that scene where he's painted at anti-American for not wanting war in the middle east (I wish I could find the clipping but you can find old newspaper articles bashing MLK's protests as hateful and destructive the exact same way modern protests are misrepresented).

The soul food episode is a perfect example of the show going over the heads of most of you guys watching it.
The entire thing is about Wuncler funding a crack equivilentin order to purposefully drive the real estate value of some land down in order to buy it on the cheap and flip it for his own interests. They even take a break from the jokes to say "Yeah this food is unhealthy but culturally it exists because white people took all the best stuff for themselves", which again, is mirrored in Wuncler's real estate scheme.
Meanwhile all you dumb motherfuckers took way was "lol niggers love unhealthy food"

Currently Kaepernick is trying his damnedest to not get picked up this season. He is trying to martyr himself to prove that the NFL hates his protest when, despite being an over 30 mediocre controversial player who believes the league is blackballing him, he is still being looked at.

This but with all celebrities. These people don't care about any issue at all, they're only out to get more fame and/or money, but because they're saying positive things that people like to hear, they're praised as brave heroes of modern society for doing absolutely risk-free shit. One reason why I despise social media is that it's given these retards a much easier and bigger platform to do this shit than a random TV interview could ever hope to be, and it's only getting worse with people all over the place thinking their half-baked opinions about politics that will 90% of the time never even affect them or anyone in their 100km radius are worth listening to.
