Either way, he ordered something that didn't exist, from a restaurant that doesn't do delivery when he lived like twenty steps away from the restaurant, the restaurant went out of their way to custom make it and deliver it to him. Then when he got it, he screamed at the delivery boy that had nothing to do with taking his order. Squidward shouldn't have thrown the pizza at him, he should've beat the shit out of him.

I know a guy that does delivery and once had a guy do something like that over breadsticks. He just left it on the doorstep and charged the guy’s account for the pizza because they weren’t on the order. Guy came in the next day all pissed off to explain how he needed the breadsticks or it wasn’t a proper order and wanting a refund on everything and they basically told him they couldn’t give him free money and that the pizza arrived at the order destination and gave him a coupon.

Not him, but in the real world it doesn't work like that. Sometimes I'll order some pizza and decide to get breadsticks with them and every now and then they'll forget the sauce. Sure, I'll pay for it the first time, but the fact of the matter is that if I wasn't getting the sauce then I wouldn't even bother with the breadsticks. No one should be expected to pay for what they didn't ask for. I've never thrown a fit over it myself, but it's bullshit to expect someone to pay full price for messed up order. At that point the store is straight up ripping the customer off to save a nickel.

Squidward early on seemed partly self aware that each episode lasts like 11 minutes or so. And the guy would clearly complain about anything wrong including the time it took for it to get there if it didn't meet his standards, but only mentioned the drink.

If we assume it happened in real time, this shitlord ordered a pizza, THE PIZZA GOT TO HIS HOUSE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, and he bitched out an innocent delivery boy who's boss we now know didn't completely take down the order. He's the douchebag in this situation.

Even if Mr Krabs fucked up and didn’t write down the drink order, that’s no excuse for yelling so rudely to a complete stranger over a relatively minor mistake. He could have calmly explained himself and he probably could’ve gotten a coupon for a free drink or something by way of apology.
