>>111717641Some episodes were actually enjoyable (Poorbucks from S1 is my go-to example) and made me realize that a lighter approach to PPG wasn't TOTAL bullshit. But the writers were never good enough to pull it off with any consistency, so most of the time, you were just going to end up with a lackluster story.
For me, PPG 2016 wasn't completely awful (don't get me wrong, there are many episodes that even my standards must admit are just 100% pure shit). But it was full of ideas that are/were never allowed to reach their full potential or could have worked if the execution was tweaked, and that's what disappoints me far more than any of the meme nonsense that plagued the early episodes.
Also, there were worse shows that premiered this decade, Pan is bugging. Maybe PPG 2016 is the most disappointing in addition to being bad, but actual worst? Nah.
