I've accepted that it was the most fun comic movie I'd seen in a long time and I could 100% believe that Captain Marvel was a kid in a grown man's body.
The worst part was all of them getting the power and I just hope the sequel won't screw it up by focusing too much on the entire family, even though I know it will.

I like the movie, and Mark Strong is great, I just hate that Sivana is losing his SCIENCE shtick. On a similar note, what the fuck is happening with the Shazam book? Pacing is now fucked and the delays aren't helping.

Poor planning on WB's part OR excellent planning, if they wanted to make sure not to waste time in deciding to do a sequel. Reminder that most of the main cast are children/early teens. With these types of movies you gotta strike while the iron is hot amd puberty is at bay.

That used to be funny back in the early 2000s, then it just got old. A lot like how A Christmas Story was once beloved as a mean-spirited anti-Christmas movie showing the reality of the holiday and shitty aspects of being a kid, but now is unironically loved by boomers and shown 24-7.
