>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.
>Where can I find old Win-O'-Threads?
http://desuarchive.org/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
http://boards.fireden.net/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
(Note: This finds the OP for old threads. If you want to search for comics in the archive, clear the subject field!)
>Where can I find downloads for other comics?
Warez forums/blogs, DDL-indexing search engines (like FilesLoop), torrent trackers (like ETTV) and other P2P networks (like DC++).
If a link has been posted on 4chan, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links).
If all else fails, just >buy it.
>Where can I buy comics?
http://www.comixology.com/
http://www.amazon.com/
On the various publishers' webstores, and at your local comics shop.
>Where can I find an LCS?
http://www.comicshoplocator.com/
>Where can I find out when new comics are released?
http://www.comiclist.com/index.php
http://www.previewsworld.com
>How do I download from websites that only give me .exe files?
Untick the checkbox under the download button.
>How can I find this thread every week?
If you are using the inline extension go to
http://4chan.org/co/official or use the option under "Filters & Post Hiding".
If you have 4chanX go to Settings > Filter > Subject and add the following line:
/Official Win-O'-Thread/;highlight
>And last but not least
I haven't started posting the recap and I'm already regretting it

Piracy is important, because it's not only a tool for the equality that all of the so-called liberals cry for (equal opportunities no matter where you come from), but also, because it helps you develop TASTE
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>111534513 Yeah, I'm the same with music. Hell that's why for me, Bandcamp is godsend... Because they let you stream the thing and if you like it, you can buy it right there, either "Name your price" or with a set price per album. And while it's mostly digital (they do sell CDs and LPs anyway), I have a nice collection over there which is smaller than my pirated one, but it's still WAY MORE than what I'd buy if I had to get the stuff physically.

Anonymous
>>111534591 Thanks to piracy you are up to date with what you care about. If you didn't have any means to download it, you would forget and abandon the hobby. If you do not consider purchasing the stuff that you consume worthy to be paid for, then it's fair enough. Both are countries that might have a large trade surpluses with first world nations or might be heavy polluters and might be heavily industrializing, particularly in comparison to other countries that are also third world for all intents and purposes, which would include countries like some in Central, Latin/South America or the Caribbean which do not have much industrialization, lack broadband in significant areas and are also heavily agrarian and or poor.
I'm not sure why you are pretending to be arguing something when you clearly are failing at it. Nothing you are saying actually contradicts my point nor even comes close to disproving it. You're simply trying to come across as somehow superior and yet failing badly.
(a) All of these countries in question do NOT have libraries as readily available as they are in first world countries, where even a town of some 10K people would have at least one library.
(b) All of these countries in question do NOT have broadband in large swaths of the countries and where they do, it's cellular broadband, which still leaves a lot of areas and the population without access.

I usually still download the rips even when I buy them so I can back them up digitally. I'm an insane hoarder like that lol. When I was working I was dropping in-between $120 to $250 US on comics. Cates has cool ideas but he gets lost in them. Look at Guardians, there is no character work in those books. Other than Peter you really don't hear much from any of the other team members. They are like cardboard cutouts lol. I don't even know why he took that book if he wasn't gonna stay. I think he does these short runs so no one finds out he can't go much further than he does. I think Venom is his longest-running book ever and it's only 20 issues in.

God Country was about an all-powerful sword, but that was okay because it was a fully creator owned thing.
Then he started writing Doctor Strange, and immediately brought in The Sentry.
Then he wrote Thanos Wins, which introduced the overpowered Cosmic Ghost Rider, and featured a lot of power wanking.
Then he relaunched Venom, and introduced a being who existed before the universe did, forged the Necrosword, and killed a celestial in one hit with it.
He just keeps doing powerlevel wanking over and over again

>>111557266 Do they? Comic book sales count orders to retailers, not the actual number of issues customers purchase of a comic book. While retailers' sales are important because of how many reorders retailers make, it's possible that there are behind-the-scenes deals where retailers will order bulk numbers of issues of a series in order to get a price reduction, either on that series, or on another (i.e.: one they anticipate will sell really well and they'll need either huge numbers of or will need to reorder).

The website can be rough to find some characters, but it is nice to have that info in chronological order. For an example of a character who is a mess, look at Roy Harper. Even without the "pre-crisis/post-crisis" split (which is a bit odd because it was the same guy on Earth 1), his entries look like
>Speedy (Earth 1 - Pre Crisis) >Speedy (Earth 2- Pre Crisis) >Speedy (Post Crisis)(1-Roy Harper) >Arsenal (02-Roy Harper) >Red Arrow >Speedy (Post Flashpoint) >Arsenal (Post Flashpoint) Those last two were the same person, and the entries from "Earth 2- Pre Crisis) onward were also the same character.
I've had trouble with Antman in the past too because of all of his aliases.
