>>111509935It's a fucking animation error, of course she's talking about Yan Lin...
Every fucking cartoon has animation errors. And that's a pretty subtle one, especially given that neither I nor any of the commenters on YouTube hating on the show ever noticed it.
The characterization does get more obvious. The mid-season episodes in particular just obliterate any preconceived notions you may have had about the girls' characters. But that's where the storyline is most continuous this season, so you can't just skip to that.
If you skip to season 2 altogether you're missing a shitload of important things. I mean you can do it if you really don't like the show now (don't get how that's possible) but even Weisman - who, again, hates most of season 1 - recommends watching it.
Re: Taranee being scared of fire - SUBTLETY do you speak it anon? This is EXACTLY what I meant about Americans not getting character depth. Just because she's scared of something doesn't mean she's gonna act like some cliche character trope and run away from it - especially when she knows (particularly being the smart girl who's already pointed things out multiple times) how fucking important their mission is! Instead, they play it up a few times throughout the early episodes, if you've seen episode 3 you should know quite well the writers didn't forget about it.
This is called REALISTIC CHARACTER WRITING. If you got superpowers you were scared of in real life, but you knew you had an enormous responsibility to use them, would you still run away from them? Think about it.
>>nearly every joke is a quirky one-liner like it's a fucking Marvel movieThey make the dialogue so much better. Then again I also love the one-liners in The Batman which everyone similarly hates (partly for that reason too) so I guess it might be subjective.
On the other hand I genuinely appreciate your watching the new DVD rips. Thank you for that.
