>>111457501You don't want to import a Trabant, it breaks down too often and requires soviet levels of caretaking. Also I'm not sure if it meets emission requirements either, so it might not be legal to drive one. This is including the Trabant 1.1 which used a more modern four-stroke engine, which wasn't a big improvement in performance, just a huge one in reliability (it is regarded as the only Trabant worth getting if you seriously want this car).
There was a funny story about a UK diplomat in Hungary, who purposefully got himself a Trabant in the 00s. One time, he was taking another minister somewhere, but they got stuck in traffic on a bridge and the car engine overheated due to standing on the hot asphalt for too long. They had to risk moving on to the train tracks, so the rails could cool down the car, otherwise they'd have a foreign minister stuck fixing a Trabi in the middle of the bridge in full traffic (these is exactly how the diplomat explained the situation to the UK minister).
>>111457562I don't hate /pol/, I just think it's unnecessary. Before it existed, we had no problems discussing politics on any other board, if it came up relevant to whatever topic was on. But right now you have idiots crying GET BACK 2 /POL/ any time it is mentioned, and it's annoying.
That, and it invited actual racism to the site, when we didn't have it before (before /pol/, everyone was a nigger and a faggot, being politically incorrect on 4chan was so ubiquitous that it carried zero meaning to any of the regular posters - it only horrified those who didn't visit regularly, which is what made it even funnier).
