I think current Neo could beat Pyrrha. She has the skills, her constructs/illusions have been bumped. As far the magnets go it would really only work on the umbrella and Neo might be tricky enough to avoid it. Pyrrha still needs to wave her hands at whatever she manipulating.

Honestly the only thing she needs for that costume is the tiara. Otherwise it's a passable costume and not "worst".

This costume is objectively bad unless your only criteria is you want to jack off. Even then, it's just bizarre looking. Its got booty shorts and thigh highs, but the chest is fully covered and the stomach isn't. Who the fuck has an ab window? 6 & 7 are the worst.

8 is weak but a little underrated. Remove the groin brace and either fully cover or fully expose belly/arms and it would be decent.

9 is shockingly good for a Liefeld design.

This re-design is not only horrible, but it fails even more because it looks absolutely nothing like the character. All of the re-designs in this thread despite being varying degress of bad are still recognizable as being the character. A re-design should keep some elements of a previous design, be it keeping some visual elements or keeping the color scheme. This design does neither, and in the superhero comic medium, a design being recognizable is a must.

Most costumes like this have no canon reason, just because it was the 1990s. Even when a new costume like that is bad and nobody liked it, for the people working on the books it's more likely to become a precedent for how a heroine likes to dress, than be seen as a mistake. Wanda's clothing before that costume may have been reserved and demure, but rarely afterwards. Artists always wanted to make her sexier, this became one of her most popular costumes.

Phil Jimenez was a boyfriend of Pozner's in the 1990s, but Pozner died of AIDS related issues.

If I remember, Tony built it and wore it for like one fight he lost, then gave it to Rhody who shitstompped a bunch of third world faggots wearing Obidiah Stane's son's shitty power armor before loosing it in some contrived reason during a whole scheme to convince people he wan't "that" Iron Man to trap his current nemisis. I feel like writers seem to almost always have it out for Carol. At best she's a possessed yandere, at worst she's just a crook or regular yandere. GLTAS is the only time I can honestly remember them setting her up as something a bit better.

It's not a female problem, it's a superhero problem. Most of the time it's either bodypaint or swimsuits or both, but it mostly comes with the genre.
