It’s like Kevin Conroy said about soap operas, “this is where those people go during the day”. But theatre acting doesn’t translate as well to film and tv because in theatre you have to project and be loud while tv and film is all about subtlety.
None of them are bad actors, its just a lot of them trained to be on a stage instead of a set so they seem campy and hammy.
Victor garber, Jesse L.Martin and Tom cavanaugh are the best of them.
