>>111270216This is from memory of reading a few drafts of earlier scripts so it's definitely not everything, but some major points:
Examples of it being more overtly critical toward WB include jokes and lines acknowledging stuff like Looney Tunes in the 21st century being less relevant than Disney (ex. Daffy mistaken for Donald), jabs at stuff like merchandise + Baby Looney Tunes, executives trying to tone down cartoon stuff out of exaggerated moral concerns, WB relying too much on celebrity power or making movies that are essentially commercials, etc. And yeah, some stuff along those lines did make it in, but it was more generalized and not so obviously aimed at the studio.
The two human characters in the movie-- yeah they were always part of it-- were meant to sort of vaguely parallel Bugs and Daffy, or connect to their current situations in life or something. Woman's Bugs, guy's Daffy. Woman's last name was originally "Bonny" or something, guy's last name was "Drake" and that stayed (and I guess he still sort of paralleled Daffy in the final version, but it was more obvious before).
Think Daffy got fucked over at the end? He got fucked over more originally. Pretty sure in the original version, or one of the earlier drafts, he doesn't even really play much of a heroic role in the climax. That part where Bugs gets a line about them being more equal from now on originally happened BEFORE it was revealed the whole movie was a setup Daffy wasn't in on, rather than after. They'd even reveal that Daffy in this movie wasn't the "real" Daffy but a stunt double, with the movie more or less ending on the fake Daffy realizing his whole character arc was just a joke, before getting crushed or something.
I don't really know if it even would've been better or worse than what was actually made, just different. Some moments I remember being better, some worse, but it's hard to tell what it would've been in total since it was across like 3 drafts.
