I mean the setting is Hell and it's basically... wat, a musical version of Sodom. There is absolutely no drama. The princess wants to redeem people, but what the fuck would the point be? They are perfectly happy where they are.
The characters are so... written by an adolescent.
But it's not really satire either.
It's almost as if someone who is clueless about the good material that exists on the subject - which is a metric fuckton stretching back to at least Dante Alighieri - was like "It's going to be so cool! It'll have songs and bright colors and superdynamic animation and it'll be set in Hell!"
Hell, that's "Family Guy". That show paints a vision of Hell as effectively as Sartre did in 'No Exit', just set in suburbia.
I am not even sure it could have been better. Maybe it could have been.
I am thinking of 'Jack' now. Imagine 'Jack' with better writing, editing, actually good artwork and decent voice acting.
Instead we get this... whatever it is. Wretched.
