The show creator is a hack who said he wanted to put his own personal take on The Watchmen and said that fuck Alan Moore, Im doing it anyway when Moore asked them not too. Said "Im channeling the spirit of Alan Moore and rebelling against him, its my show, my view, and my story I want to tell and that needs told" saying it was what the Watchmen really was, and not a silly super hero comicbook people thought it was.
So he missed the whole point of it.
