I forgot this came out, is it worth watching? Every preview I've seen makes it look like the second coming of Christ for cartoons

It is very good.
/co/ likes to treat it like a mindless hack and slash but the characters actually have a lot of emotional depth (which is crazy considering that they are a caveman and dinosaur with no dialogue whatsoever) and very easy to care about. There isn't really a plot through line but it handles its self contained adventures very well.
Actual spoilers ahead:
Granted I see the series losing most of its charm considering what happened at the end of episode five potentially fucking up the entire dynamic. Spear isn't going to be that interesting by himself.

It isn’t a pleb filter as much a it is just so good, we don’t have anything to talk about it, plus we’ve only had five episodes, and while that’s practically a short movie, it’s still not a ton to obsess over.

she isn’t dead. We’ve seen a few clips from fights that weren’t in the show yet, and she had a different eye color in one. My money is on the shaman surviving the fall crippled and being caveman diplomacy’d into reviving Fang using his magics of monkey CPR. Either that or the black ooze will help.

Really neat conceptually. Not sure it's the kind of series that could last a long time though. We're only 5-6 episodes in and already I'm getting a bit weary of the self contained "Monster of the week" format, but given how the last episode ended maybe they'll start shaking things up as they close in on the finale.
