I think they’ve said on the AMA that there were plans for it, but they never came around to it because they couldn’t figure a way for it to fit in the story.

The grass sword was fucking cool.
Just separate the fact that the writing was going downhill.
As a piece of equipment, it was really creative and the only reason it didn't last is it made Finn OP.
