There are furry small mammals, but then there are huge mammals that have such thin, short fur that they look hairless from a distance (elephants, rhinos, hippos).
Tyrannosaurs and a lot of other dinosaurs have produced skin impressions that showed scales. Their ancestors seem to have had feathers, but Tyrannosaurus probably didn't. Or if it did have any, they were probably like elephant fur; you wouldn't notice them unless you went looking for them.
