This movie unironically adds a lot more interesting depth and lore to the batman mythos. The whole pre batman era of problems with unions, class inequality, clown riots and conspiracy is the kind of street level intrigue that's been sorely missing from batman stories lately. It even gives credence to how socially grey batman is if you look at it societally.

Unironically a better Joker story than the Killing Joke.
