nobody cared about ivy/harley being bi/gay for each other. but if that was done now it'd be way fucking worse. monotoya/batwoman, apollo/midnighter or teddy/billy, no problems by anybody. plus they're all OCs and have been written pretty well overall
but now it's the same bendis-esque cancer in turning established characters into fake woke points. making bobby gay after based marjorie liu just had an entire arc dealing with bobby's ex-girlfriends is pure hackery. you still have untapped characters (x-characters even, imagine that bendis) like northstar, who is still essentially a blank slate to normies and could be elevated
but hack writers want to take the omg minority shortcut to the top (black spidey for example) instead of creating an original character and writing it with quality over time or doing something like what priest has been doing with deathstroke (and his supporting cast, including bi jericho) and just writing the fuck out of it
this is why bobby needs to be reverted, he was "made gay" for all the wrong reasons, plus it also assassinated jean's characterization as well.
