The world, the pocket dimension, is constructed so Vision can feel emotions again. He can only feel emotions in this realm Wanda has constructed.
She uses her only really happy memories, of which she has few, watching old US sitcoms as a child. The world she creates around Vision is thus one of safety and happiness, not the real world where everything she loved, including Vision, was destroyed.
Because Vision can only feel in this world, the couple spend more and more time in this fantasy realm, and retreat away from the real world (which would fit Chthon's scheming to a tee; he tries to corrupt Wanda, purging Wanda's positive emotions with negative ones, altering her realm. Crucially, Vision, whose humanity was restored by and is dependent on this world, must persuade an increasingly lost in her fantasy Wanda to return to the real world.
It is Vision who ultimately encourages Wanda to embrace her true self, her "vision" and become Scarlet Witch.
So, I think Vision loses his emotions when WandaWorld is destroyed. However he does not die, and the ending leaves open the possibility for his return.
