For example, "People of color" can mean anyone from Mexicans, Africans, African-Americans, Indians, or Vietnamese. "Minority" is anyone who is not white, and that includes Chinese and Indian despite them having enormous global populations who probably make up the majority of the planet.
The Letter Foundation is anyone who isn't straight. Like, for some reason, asexuals are welcome in that group even though someone who didn't want to have sex in their life has never been oppressed for it.
