Action people would want her to show how she doesn't have to follow the rules.
Prose people would want a discussion with nuance, not 'here's why I deserve special treatment'
Rebels would want her to break the rules.
Lawful people would want her to follow the rules, or work within the system to change them.
Instead, she's saying 'May I have permission to not be constrained?', and in a method that's trying to be a popular appeal. Her own question acknowledges that any rebellion she undertakes must be approved beforehand.
Doom, for all his wankery, bad writing and mary-sue-ness, at least delivers an Übermensch power fantasy: "What if I was powerful and strong enough to not need to listen to anyone?"
And Lunella's just another kid talented enough for greatness, but too meek to grasp it.
