It's not like humans need to be shut down because their bodies don't have practical uses. Their jobs don't define them, their existence does. But even with that, there's plenty of ways to make a living. Fuck, there's paraplegics that make paintings, I'm sure Crash man could draw some friggin lines to sell to hardcore robo enthusiasts.
I guess if these robots are literally property and have no rights, and the company that owns them won't pay the cost of disarmament, that sucks. Or if they require some large upkeep and maintenance cost that working as a barista at Robot Starbucks won't cover. But, like, fuck, man.
