Season 3 of Family Guy is actually the best the show ever had. The writing was more developed and well-rounded than the first two seasons, also a little edgier but not the crass shock value shit from season 5 onward. SOULFUL as fuck and a lot of the plotlines really relied on what the characters had developed into after a couple years of being on the air. If it hadn't been cancelled and thus the writers wouldn't have been in different headspaces after a few years had passed, Family Guy might've blossomed into something really great. Kind of like how The Simpsons' first two seasons were good, the third season was better, and then seasons 4-8 were kino.
