Because that would mean the Spinel matches had an almost entirely distinct set of voters from the Raven matches. Raven was consistent in every vote, only Spinel got the spike. Both their matches got roughly same number of total voters counting for and against, and you'd assume they have roughly the same voterbase. The 500-600 voting against Spinel in her matches most likely are accounted for in Raven's. When they finally faced each other, Raven's "for" votes remained unchanged, so based on previous distributions you'd expect 600, maybe 700 votes for Spinel accounting for final hype. 976. That's a big, one-sided spike. Not confirmed, but very suspicious.
