>>110150844What ultimate goal? It's a silly contest made by anons just for the heck of it. X was the top in 2020, so what? the ultimate goal is to pit characters against each other, have anons vote and either rage or cheer at the result. There's 0 point in treating a victory one year like it's end all be all. We can't even agree on the same things from one week to the next.
>>110150865Again, where do you get the impression she would have won again? the problem here is this rule was established without precedent, Jenny never got a second shot so it's impossible to tell if she'd win again. Same for the champion this year. Let's say Spinnel wins this year, would you trust her to win 100% next year if she was let in? Lots of popular characters lost early this year meanwhile you have Peni vs Velma in round 4, all furry reps are out and Muriel of all people almost tied with a popular contestant.
It really comes off as people just being scared and not trusting their waifu to win against previous favorites, yet they never even consider the voters themselves might not wish to vote for the same people again, because lots of it depends on matchups. Would you Vote for Helen Parr vs Violet the same as you did with Violet vs Gwen? what about Gwen vs Peni? Chel vs Tyr? the classic Raven vs Starfire? People complain about fairness and variety but most of the early matchups this year were both boring and predictable. I believe having more well-known contestants leads to more interesting matches, which in turn make it all more fun and easier to get invested into.
