>>110131125Africa's birth rate is dropping, dropping slowly but dropping. It doesn't help that much of the country is still a shit hole and birth rate only really drops once standards of living become really high. Also varies by country to country, like botswana, with it's high standard of living, with a birth rate of 2.73. And why talk about India when it's birth rate has literally dropped more then half in the last 30 years, to about 2.23? Almost below the replacement rate.
>>110131161But that's literally what happening right now, Africa is slowly becoming the place where cheap shit gets made since China is getting so fucking rich that's middle class doesn't want to work in sweatshops anymore. It's reality, you can't stop it. And for all it's downsides, being the world's sweatshop has catapulted China into a global superpower.
>Are you actually, fucking literally, telling us to lower the quality of life so we can get jobs?Yes, that's literally it, because nobody wants shitty jobs, hence the out sourcing. And pls, there's plenty of super and I mean super high paying jobs in America , you just need to get good.
>Hell, dosent that run counter to your environmentalist ideal then? Business and production bad after all. Cant possible make a profit without polluting a tonIt depends. You can 100% industrialize heavily without creating too much of a carbon footprint if you go for nuclear/renewable tech and with some heavy regulations on waste dumping/pollutants. More importantly it allows Africa to raise it's standards of living and reduce it's population growth. Not to mention giving them the tools to actually help the environment...eventually. Look at China/India, it took them a while but they're investing more into renewable then the USA, they're building more solar farms/wind, they're building more nuclear power plants, China's like biggest customer of electric vehicles in the world and they're finally cracking down on plastic pollution
