None of the kids in SP apart from Kyle are actually moral, they’re all basically little psychopaths and only get mad at stuff that affects them personally. Even Wendy had a woman killed once. And Kyle is really just trying to emulate having a sense of morality at this point.

Well firstly, the show has no plot continuity and secondly, it's well established that Eric doesn't hate or even dislike Stan & Kyle, they dislike him. But the thing is, they live in a small country town and they've all grown up together, thus they do everything together. Eric has never tried to harm Stan since he's not Jewish but has attempted to harm or kill Kyle, but these were only in situations where Kyle would seek do inconvenience him, see the Toilet Paper episode. So maybe Kyle is putting himself in danger by calling Cartman out all the time, but at the end of the day, Cartman's threats against him never come to pass.
