I'm glad this media has seemingly succeeded in lessening the insane rage and bigotry aimed at people who don't deserve it.
I don't personally like many gay characters because they're rarely handled well, and I like exactly no lesbian characters for different reasons, but I am pleased they serve a positive function despite not being enjoyable.
