This, what made Marvel think any of these characters can carry a book on thier own as a team. At least Agents of Atlas had Shang Chi and Jimmy Woo in thier team along consisting of mostly fresh new characters.

Pretty sure Zub said Marvel still had plans for the young characters. Outside the characters you listed I am sure Nadia, Viv, and Sam will be in whatever ne iteration of Champions happens. Zub's OCs are probably going to be in limbo for the foreseeable future though.

Zub wanted to do Legion of Superheroes with the Champions but it didn't work for him. Also the Legion has decades upon decades of building up and introducing characters to the point most of them have their own fanbases.

He said that Marvel still had plans for the characters, doesn't really mean much. Honestly if the next writer wanted to drop one of them and continue with the rest who would even stop them? I think Marvel just cares about having Riri, Kamala, and Miles in the forefront. Everyone else is expendable.

Ewing and Hickman are the only guys in recent memory who've expressed interest in writing Rich. Ewing seems to want to have Rich team up with Wendell, and I don't think Hickman likes Jeph, so I doubt he'd include Sam

Eh a lot of old timey heroes were against killing and some of the current younger ones also are. Even Rich was against it when he was mostly an Earth Hero but he was forced to mercy kill some Skrulls and other Nova corpsmen that were suffering from a flesh eating virus, Then in Annihilation he realized that sometimes he had no other choice but to do it.
