Sort of. deep frying requires a lot of cleanup and it ruins your kitchen, so I'm always happy to let someone else fry some shit for me.
ovening also takes a long time and heats up the house
a fire grill of course i don't have, and if I did, it takes a huge amount of fuel (and huge cooldown period and massive cleanup) for a one-off meal, hence the big cookouts people do.
and any kind of meat prep or anything that needs expert cooking to get done just right, that I'll pay for
but a cold sandwich might be a lot of work to assemble, but it's still not worth paying someone else to do. nor a salad or anything like that. If I'm going out for a sandwich, it had better have steak. I can do that myself but it's a bit of work.. you can buy italian beef, the same as you can buy heat-and-eat meatballs or pulled meat in a tub, but those are all expensive and a pain to keep around and portion out, so for a sandwich place, that's okay.
Ever since I got a propane burner and a wok, and a garden full of fresh veg, and access to a nearby asian market to get sauces and whatnot, I barely ever feel like ordering chinese anymore.
