>>108074980>how would /co/ adapt these techniques to 2019?Dress nicely and get a nice haircut (and while obviously unspoken, take good care of your hygiene and weight too)
Understand that loneliness is a universal feeling that can affect anyone
Empathy is good
Being humble about your faults is good (ex, laughing at your own clumsiness)
Dancing is a fun skill to have if you learn how to do it well
Respect boundaries
Develop a sense of confidence in yourself to help express your thoughts and feelings
Making mistakes is on dates is okay, it's not the end of the world if you say the wrong thing
Jealousy is bad
Forgive others and yourself
More emphasis on learning to dress yourself well and becoming an amicable person.
(Also unspoken, have the money to be able to pay for these things. Maxwell is clearly a science major of some kind that makes a decent liveable wage, not a NEET.)
These are all the good notes out of this. Obviously there's a lot this special didn't touch on nor could predict how to touch on for modern times. Things like this always assume the best out of people instead of preparing you for the worst, because I mean who wants to watch a special where the girl makes him scared to walk out of his front door?
At least Minnie knows how to be a girl which is something that a lot of modern young women don't really value anymore, or have "redefined" as being very controlling and mean. Politics infecting everything has made it more difficult to get along with other people in general, which has naturally caused others to recluse more. There was that one viral VHS clip of the guy going into a 7/11 at night in the 80's that makes you realize that the comfort levels people had back then were different than how we are now.
