>>107999963In the beginning it was a fun show about a magical princess from a magical kingdom with a male sidekick/eventual love interest who wasn't a shitty onionboy. Then, things went to shit really, really hard with unneccessary lore and tumbled down into a fully blown SJW shitfest with racism, gay propaganda and similar garbage. And the whole thing culminates in a total undoing of magic as such, Mewni, and all the characters you liked are dead.
There is seriously no reason to watch western cartoons anymore. The cons have so totally overwhelmed the pros that it has become impossible to watch anything. And on top of that I have an (admittedly) paranoid and illogical feeling that these new "creators" intentionally end the shows on extremely bitter notes, as if they intentionally shit on everything, degrade and humiliate the characters, the settings and so on. Why get attached to any character or any cartoon when it inevitably ends in the worse possible ways?
It's as if this is the 2.0 or 3.0 strategy the powers that be employed in the 90s with the glorification of depression, suicide and general failure.
I loved this show in the beginning and I loved Star and Marco, because both subverted the "perfect girl and incompetent male" stereotype (and a few others) but it all ended so, so horribly.
