No I just hate when the Villian is clearly more powerful than the Hero and acts like this hero NEEDS to be stopped at all costs yet he doesn't go out and deal with it himself. Aku for example could not do this because of Jacks sword so it makes sense for him to send peons his way.

As someone who absolutely loves reverse traps, I'll admit I fucking hate it when media treats it like some sort of unthinkable and unique plot twist.

Then don't write a situation they have to bullahit their way out of. Give them a challenge, a way to prove their skill or outwit the enemy. Having protagonist willpower through something like poison is retarded, you can get an adrenaline rush but it can only do so much and almost no story does a proper adrenaline rush, they just give plot powers.

I've always had the opposite issue. Bittersweet endings I've seen have either made no logical sense in the end or they were too sad anyway to have you appreciate the good things.
Unironically Endgame was the only satisfying bittersweet ending I've seen, but granted I haven't seen many.

They pointed that out too, but the excuse at the time was that all the experienced Jonin were busy with other missions and they needed to put a team together right that second or it would be too late. It’s kind of silly to think they didn’t have a single Jonin or even a group of Chunin to spare though. Realistically, it was just a way to have the Rescue Sasuke Arc be an actual arc instead of being done in a few chapters since they showed earlier that a couple of tired, exhausted Jonin were still enough to almost beat the Sound Four.

Yeah Kakashi probably could have did it all himself if he had been around but then what? If Sasuke never leaves then Naruto never has the motivation to go training with Jiraiya and then everyone would have gotten shat on for real when the Akatsuki made their move in Part 2.

I just think it’s a cheap way to give “closure” to that particular character's arc. It’s basically going “it’s ok that you never knew your parents because as it conveniently happens to turn out they were garbage anyway so you were always better off”.

It does depend on how important finding their parents is to the character’s overall motivation, but if they’re just going to write them off that quickly why even bother showing them in the first place.
