>>107957104>I can't even figure out why its so boring.Same I like the show and hope there are more episodes, but something about the show also showed off as boring. I thought about it a while and realized what the problems are.
The main characters Vic and Val are boring, and have personalities better fitting side characters. The side characters are way more interesting then them and they don't get much screen time.
Like this whole thread is about Xochi but she only really showed up in 2 episodes, the plant one and the babysitter one. Only 2 episodes but everyone here is interested in her, not just waifu.
Same of any of the side characters I would love to see more Charlene, Don, Pineapple, Guillermo, and etc. I'm actually interested in them and would love to learn more about them and have episodes focused on them.
An other thing is nothing is really explained and is just thrown at us like we know why things are. A few good examples is I was confused in the wave episode why the grandma was upset that she was given a taco with meat in it. Wasn't till a few more episodes in I realized their whole thing is they make vegetarian tacos, and I think the whole family are vegetarians? It's never explained they make vegetarian tacos or are vegetarian themselves. It's just one of those things we where just suppose to know?
Same with the skeleton chihuahua it just shows up in an episode and they talk to it like it's been a recurring character in the entire show. My first thought was who is that and why aren't you freaking out about a talking zombie chihuahua?
Going back to Vic and Val they are basically muggles in a magical world. It's what might be putting people off the show. They are surrounded by mystic stuff but really don't care or understand it. Everyone else seems to be aware how the mystic stuff works. Charlene seems to understand the dark arts, Don knows all about the mystical beast, plus he has that interdimensional stock room that him and Xochi go into.
