It's probably the best representation of Spidey on the big screen. To be far I haven't seen any of the Holland movies, but Raimi did an amazing job displaying the kind of sacrifices it takes to be Spiderman. The fact the film mostly end on a bittersweet notes helps this.
Couple with the romantic flair the films have, the sun-baked New York, the boisterous music, Peter's monologues, it genuinely sticks with you.
Spiderman 3 is an inexcusable dumpster fire, however. Fuck Sony. They ruined what could have been an amazing legacy for Raimi.
